Reading this but still wondering. I’m doing two 4.25 kg (10 lb.) turkeys in 2 pans in a single oven (household, and not convection).
I’ve always followed the “25 minutes/lb for stuffed turkey”. I preheat to 450°F and then reduce to 350°F when they go in. That would give me a 4.16 hours cook time.
Should I allow a little more time? And should I tent with foil (still basting of course) or will that make the space too tight? …read more
